Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 25, 2026
LinkMia is operated by Dale Miami Ventures LLC, a Florida limited liability company. This Policy explains how LinkMia handles information when you create an account, request or manage a ride, use a trip page, or use the driver application.
1. Information we collect
- Account and contact information: name, email address, phone number and account identifier.
- Ride information: passenger and booker details, pickup and drop-off locations, airport, pickup time, flight number, party information, selected vehicle, pickup sign, notes, referral or promotion information and payment-method selection.
- Operational information: fare, booking status, assigned driver, timestamps, operational notices sent by LinkMia and service events.
- Technical information: browser storage used for session and booking continuity, device/browser information, network and error information, push-notification subscription information and security logs.
- Driver checkpoint location: a precise location captured when a signed-in driver deliberately performs certain ride-status actions.
2. Google Maps information
When you type or select an address, LinkMia sends the search text, selected place identifier, and information needed to calculate the route through LinkMia’s services to Google Maps Platform. Google may collect and process search terms, IP addresses and location information under the Google Privacy Policy. Use of Google Maps features and content is also subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service.
LinkMia keeps the address you select as part of that specific booking and may retain the Google Place ID used to identify it. The route distance and traffic-aware duration are used to estimate travel and calculate ride information. Please do not enter names, phone numbers or other personal information in the address field.
When an active passenger trip displays a verified driver checkpoint on a Google Map, the checkpoint coordinate is provided to Google Maps to render that map.
3. Driver location
The passenger application does not continuously track your device location. Before the first driver checkpoint request, the driver application explains the one-time capture and the browser asks for location permission. The application requests a fresh precise location only when a driver taps certain trip-status actions, such as “On my way,” “Arrived,” or “Start trip.” A driver may decline that permission or later revoke it in browser or device settings. A ride status can still change without a location, but no verified checkpoint is shown for that action. LinkMia does not perform continuous or background driver tracking. The last stored checkpoint location is erased when the ride is completed.
4. How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts; create, price, dispatch, manage and support rides; communicate ride status; pay drivers and calculate ambassador commissions; prevent duplicate or fraudulent activity; troubleshoot the service; maintain records; and comply with legal obligations.
5. How information is shared
LinkMia discloses ride information to an assigned driver when needed to fulfill that ride. An ambassador who books for another passenger necessarily knows the information that the ambassador enters; LinkMia does not currently provide ambassadors with a separate list of referred passengers’ open rides.
LinkMia also uses vendors for mapping, hosting, databases and operational communications, including Google Maps Platform, Supabase, Netlify, Railway, Telegram and browser push providers. Loading vendor software can provide that vendor with technical information such as an IP address, browser or device information. The booking page currently loads Stripe payment technology even though in-application Stripe payment is disabled during the pilot. Each provider handles information under its own terms and privacy practices.
When you choose a WhatsApp link, LinkMia opens WhatsApp with a suggested message. LinkMia does not automatically receive or store the contents of the WhatsApp conversation through that link; WhatsApp handles the conversation under its own terms and privacy practices.
Before a driver accepts a ride, LinkMia limits the passenger information shown to that driver. Additional contact and ride details are disclosed after acceptance when needed to complete the ride.
6. Browser storage
LinkMia uses local or session storage on your device for sign-in continuity, pending profile information, referral information, the most recent trip, interrupted-submission recovery and application updates. Clearing browser data may remove those local recovery records but does not cancel a booking already stored by LinkMia.
7. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide rides, maintain operational and financial records, resolve disputes, protect the service and comply with law. Retention periods differ by record type. We delete the driver’s last stored checkpoint coordinates when a ride is completed.
8. Your choices
You may decline browser notifications, device-location permission or optional communications through your device settings. Some ride features cannot work without the trip and contact information needed to provide them. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, contact LinkMia. Some records may be retained when required for ride operations, accounting, disputes, safety or law.
9. Security
LinkMia uses technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so keep your account credentials and private trip links confidential.
10. Children
LinkMia accounts and bookings are intended for adults arranging transportation. Do not create an account if you are not legally able to agree to this Policy and the Terms of Use.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as LinkMia changes. The updated page will show a new “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the service when appropriate.
